ANDY TSENG

Andy is originally from Taiwan. He moved to the U.S. in 2014 and went to school in University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL. He is currently practicing in Austin, TX as a PT, OT and Pilates instructor.

Clinically, Andy is passionate about combining manual therapy, hand therapy and Pilates Method to best serve the musicians. He is currently pursuing the certifications to become a certified hand therapist.

Outside the clinic, Andy started his business “PT Doodler, LLC” in 2019. He creates Doodle videos to help clinicians and business owners be more effective in education, advocacy and marketing.

KARA WELKE

 Kara graduated from the University of South Dakota Occupational Therapy program in 2000, and currently lives in Thompson, ND. She has worked with pediatrics through geriatrics in various settings. She even ventured away from traditional occupational therapy for a few years and had the privilege of starting an Early Head Start program from the ground up and was the director of the EHS program. Kara was an Academic Fieldwork Instructor and Faculty for an OTA program for 8 years.

She is passionate about teaching students and other professionals to be the best occupational therapy professional as possible. In order to provide client centered, occupation based, and evidence-based practice, Kara started her own business to help older adults age in place. She has independent contractors to help her in her business: PT, ST, and other OTs. She provides Medicare Part B and private pay services in the home as well as contracts with a local HHA company.

After attending SSPT Live 2019, Kara was inspired to create the Next Level Occupational Therapy Facebook group. This group has grown into a business: Next Level Occupational Therapy, LLC which includes the Next Level Visionary Membership group, the Therapy Business Builder Program, and a new program to be launched soon. She is also the creator of the Therapy Business Builder Program, which currently is helping 24 OT, PT, and SLPs start their own practice. On top of this, she loves to provide individual mentoring and coaching.

ERIN LINDBERG

Erin N. Lindberg has been a licensed occupational therapist since 2001.  She has always had a passion to help and serve others. She chose the field of Occupational Therapy due to her fascination with the mind-body connection.  She witnessed the holistic, integrative nature of OT during her work as a nursing assistant, companion aid and volunteering. Erin began her career as an OT in a Transitional Care/Skilled Nursing Facility championing dementia management and short term rehab.  Throughout her career she has had a wide variety of experiences, including acute, transitional and long-term care, home health, out-patient, sales/marketing, management/leadership, program development and mentorship. Erin discovered her calling in 2004 when she began her holistic therapy journey with the JFB Myofascial Release approach.  Personal experience created an understanding and empathy for women suffering from pelvic health issues, which led her to expand her holistic practice into women’s health in 2010. She now empowers women to overcome pain, movement limitations and women’s health concerns, holistically, bringing confidence and joy to their life.  

Erin knew there had to be a better way to serve others and leverage her time, which led her to open her own cash based, multidisciplinary holistic health practice in 2018.  While building her practice she continued to work 32 hours at her job, mentored other occupational therapists on the Next Level Visionary Platform, while raising 3 kids...and still earned 6 figures in her brick and mortar practice within her first year of business.  She has since been able to resign from her job, which has created her time freedom to develop her online empire and products to further serve her clients and fellow professionals. This is just the beginning of her path to creating time, financial and clinical freedom.  This would not have been possible without the knowledge, coaching and community of SSPT! She is grateful for attending SSPT Live in 2019, where she learned of GT and this amazing community, and without hesitation jumped right into SSPT season 8 and Mastermind Beyond 1%.  Erin has a goal to empower as many people as possible, both peers and clients through mentorship, advocacy, products and holistic OT practice. She looks forward to providing guidance in gaining personal empowerment and confidence in your abilities to do the things you love and create the life you deserve.  Welcome to the family!

RACINE JOHNSON

My name is Dr. Racine Johnson, I am a Occupational Therapist and a Doctor of Physical Therapy with an extensive education and experience in Manual Therapy including Massage, Joint Mobilization, Soft Tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia) Mobilization and treating conditions of the bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments in all areas of the body including the Neck, Back, Hip, Knee, Ankle, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist and Hands.  I have worked with all age groups in multiple types of settings.; Outpatient, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing and Home Health.  I believe my strengths are in my clinical skills and my ability to relate to people.  I use an anatomical functional approach to creating my treatment plans.

I opened my own practice last year and created a muscle rub and a line of body butters to assist individuals to manage discomfort and to assist with scar management and skin conditions.

 I would be most honored in assisting you in navigating the wonderful world of rehabilitation so that you can assist others in living the life that they love.

RUTH BACKLUND

Being in her early 50's and solo-practitioner in her business, Ruth's intent when she started Smart Success PT was to learn to market herself, grow her business just enough to wind down into retirement.   She had never spent a lot of time and effort on marketing before, and she knew this is what she needed to make her business grow.  Seeing more patients in her office was her primary goal that would allow her to comfortably cut the strings with her part-time employer.  Ruth also knew there was a limit her body could handle working one on one with clients for their Myofascial Release sessions.  As an RN and Certified Group Exercise instructor, she needed leverage where she wasn’t always trading time for money.  She wanted to offer her patients more beyond her treatment room.  With SSPT, She was able to fuel her passion for coaching and leverage nutrition, weight loss and fitness programs for patients desiring more than pain relief and recovery.
