And as I was getting ready to do the event to do ssh live, I realized that if I want things to change next year, and by the way, Ten X doesn't have to always be money. Ten X could be that I want to spend ten times the amount of time that I'm spending with my kids versus what I was I spent with them in 2023. I want to spend ten times more time with my wife. I want to have ten times the amount of time to spend in my spiritual walk. I want to be able to spend more time in prayer. I want to be able to spend more time just taking care of myself. It doesn't always have to be money. This is secrets for success.
Greg Todd [00:00:48]:
Welcome to the Secrets for Success podcast. I'm your host, Greg Todd. Thank you as always for joining me. Today we're going to talk about the ten X principles. Today we're going to talk about what happens when you truly ten X your life. And is ten X really easier than two X? Man? I actually would say it is. I would say it's easier. But there is parts of it that's harder as well.
Greg Todd [00:01:12]:
So let's talk about the hard first, and then let's talk about the easy. Okay. The Hard part, I believe with Ten Xing your life is that you're going to have to change the things that you do in your life. And that's really hard. It's hard to do different things because different things can create a different identity. When you do different things, you might have people that are in your life no longer want to be a part of your life. When you do different things, you have to change your processes of the things that are priority, that are no longer priority. And anytime we are changing the way that we do things, it's hard.
Greg Todd [00:01:55]:
It's tough. It's difficult because it disrupts us. But can I tell you something? What I've realized with Ten X is that you're going to have to change things. But here's what I realized about going ten X. And just for the record, I have gone ten X. And I realizing that with ten X, all the things that I used to do, I would say probably about 90%. I'd say 90%, 90% of the things that I used to do, I don't need to do anymore if I'm going to go ten X because everything that I was doing before was getting me the results that I was getting. And the reality is that if I want to increase something by percentage, 4%, 5%, 8%, I really just for the most part, just need to do more of that thing.
Greg Todd [00:02:41]:
Just do it, just do it more, do it longer, do it harder. Like, that's it. But when you're going ten X, you have to totally disrupt the way that you do things. And as I was getting ready to do the event to do ssh live, I realized that if I want things to change next year, and by the way, ten X doesn't have to always be money. Ten X could be that I want to spend ten times the amount of time that I'm spending with my kids versus what I spent with them in 2023. I want to spend ten times more time with my wife. I want to have ten times the amount of time to spend in my spiritual walk. I want to be able to spend more time in prayer.
Greg Todd [00:03:24]:
I want to be able to spend more time just taking care of myself. It doesn't always have to be money. And I'm like, if I'm going to do that, and I'm not talking about an extra hour here, I'm not talking about an extra date day, I'm not talking about an extra. No, I'm talking about like ten times. So if you're spending four or 5 hours a week, you just want to spend 40 to 50 hours a week with your family, you're gonna have to do totally different things. And what I have realized about going ten X is that I don't have to do more work, I'm actually doing less, but I'm doing totally different things. And it's just giving me a much bigger return on my investment of time, of whatever it is that I'm investing in. But there's usually a massive investment in doing that.
Greg Todd [00:04:11]:
So I realized that for me, it's like, if I'm going to do this, how am I going to pull this off? I was like, I'm going to have to stop doing this, stop doing that, stop doing this, stop doing that. Which is not hard to do. It's easy to do, it's hard to deal with the repercussions of it. People are not used to that. They're like, I'm not going to work with you anymore. I'm not going to do that, I'm not going to do that. That's fine, that's part of ten X. But at the same time, I can radically change my life.
Greg Todd [00:04:37]:
Just like that. Just like that. Just by saying, okay, if we want this result, we're gonna have to eliminate all of that and only these things over here will get it for me. And that's it. And that's ten X principles in a real way. Ten X can be easier than two X, but the process of it is harder because there are repercussions. So I just want to remind you of that, because that's what we talked about a lot of at the event is this ten X principle, but there's repercussions to it, I think, in a good way. So here's my question to you.
Greg Todd [00:05:14]:
Are you going to go ten x for the remainder of the year? Are you going to go ten x next year, meaning maybe more time for yourself or maybe that could mean more money. Well, if you are, are you willing to totally disrupt the way that you're doing it? And is your identity so attached to what you're doing that. You know what? Nah, let me just stay with my percentage way of doing things. Just something to think about and something I've had to think about, but I've decided to go for it. I'm asking for you to ten x your life in whatever way that looks, and I hope it blesses you in a way that I believe it's going to bless me. Till next time.
