Greg Todd [00:00:00]:
Like, what are you doing? Are you using this stuff to contribute? Are you using it consume? Is it playing you or are you playing it? So are you even putting yourself in a position where people can find you? Every single one of these platforms, you could do stuff that's making yourself more findable. Every one of the platforms have an ability for you to do that. By the way, that wasn't always the case. Like, right now, with the ability to have Facebook reels, Instagram reels, Instagram carousels, YouTube videos and TikTok videos, you have the ability for everyone that would buy your stuff right now to find you if you are using those particular methods on those platforms. But if you're not doing it, you're not even giving yourself the opportunity for people to find you. So here's my question to you. Are you even talking to people? Are you talking to them enough? Or are you just downright saying, I'm not even going to speak? The hell with that. I ain't doing none of that.
Greg Todd [00:00:57]:
Like, what are you doing? This is secrets for success. Welcome to the Secrets for Success podcast. I'm your host, Greg Todd. Thank you, as always, for joining me. Okay, there's a couple things I want to share with you all in this episode, but before I do that, I just want to put something kind of in your ear. We are going to be doing a five day challenge September 30 to October 4. Okay. It's five days.
Greg Todd [00:01:28]:
You guys know when I do these challenges, it is my week of giving the most amount of value to the smart success community audience. And so I don't have anything for you to sign up right now. Just remember, September 30 to October 4, we're going to be doing a five day challenge. You know how I usually do it. I'll give you all the details in a little bit. All right? Okay. So just put that in your calendar GT challenge during that time. All right, now let's get into today's episode.
Greg Todd [00:01:57]:
So today I would actually like to talk to you all about why you're not making more money than what you're making right now. Okay? And when I do the challenge, September 30 to October 4, that's what it's going to be around. Okay? It's like how to make more money, all right? And how to do it in a way that aligns with you and what your experiences are and what skills you have. And see if we can extract what you already have to make you more money. Because in today's world, you need to make more money. Okay? You need to make more money. It is not the same world of 2025 years ago. When I graduated from PT school, um, I made 39,500 a year when I graduated.
Greg Todd [00:02:44]:
And let me tell you something. I know a lot of y'all like, oh, my God, how did you live? I live just fine. I had a one bedroom apartment. I was paying $742 a month for that. My grocery for myself and my bride was probably $40 to $50 a week. I was able to take care of. We had one car payment at the time. I was able to take care of the Honda Civic.
Greg Todd [00:03:08]:
I was able to take care of our insurance. My wife did work and take her job. She was making, like, 1012 bucks an hour. And we were just fine. And we had enough to where we're able to save a little bit, save about $25 to $50 a month, and put it into a mutual fund and slowly save up for a vacation that we took the following year. So 39,500 went a hell of a lot longer way than 80 to 90k today. And so you guys need to make more money. So here's the deal.
Greg Todd [00:03:37]:
Why are you not making the money that you need to make? And I think there's many different reasons, but on today's episode, I want to talk about two. And I think one of the things is that you are not findable. Like, you're not findable. And I want you to understand a couple numbers. All right? So I'm going to throw some numbers at you. I want you to write it down, and then I'm going to explain the numbers. So, number one is 7 million. 7 million is the amount of people that are currently in our world, okay? Seven, give or take a million.
Greg Todd [00:04:06]:
All right? At any given time, people die. People. We have new people coming into this. This. This world every single day. But 7 million, okay, 7 million is the first number you need to know. Okay? Now, the next number I think is really important is four, okay? And maybe we can even say five. So four to five.
Greg Todd [00:04:24]:
Okay, so there's four to five platforms that have about 60% to 70% of those 7 million. Okay, so we're talking about four to 6 million are on one of these four platforms. They're on Facebook, they're on Instagram, they're on TikTok, and they're on YouTube. Okay? If you take those four platforms, you pretty much have access to about 60% to 70% of the 7 million at any given time. Okay? All right. Now, do you need millions of. Sorry, not millions, billions of people to be able to take you up on what it is that you can offer the world. No, you don't.
Greg Todd [00:05:00]:
Okay. Now I'm going to give you a few other numbers that I think are really, really important. Okay. The next number. And this number is just for Greg Todd. All right. It's 3750. So what is that number? That's the amount of money the average customer in this business that you guys know me for is work.
Greg Todd [00:05:18]:
To me right now, that number is different from for other businesses. I have a business where that number is as low as $35. I have a business where the number is as high as 2600. All right. This business, 3750. It's the highest amount. 3750 is what the average customer has been worth to us in 2024. So if you understand those numbers, 7,000,000,070% of those people, four to five platforms.
Greg Todd [00:05:52]:
3750 then. Now let's create this next number. And that's the number of whatever you want to make. So if I wanted to have 100 customers, and my customer base on average is worth 3750, knowing that I have $30 products, I have dollar to $5 products, when I do the challenges, I have $50,000 products, I have $100,000 offer, I have everything in between. And the average person worked, 3750. That's coming into my world in 2024. That's what they're paying. They're paying me.
Greg Todd [00:06:29]:
If I had 100 people, that means I WouLD make 375,000. I don't have 100 people. I have closer to more of a thousand people. That's 3750. That's 3.75 million a year. HERe's the Thing I want you guys to understand. You currently aren't findable. If I have close to a thousand customers that have come into our world this year, you have to understand this.
Greg Todd [00:06:54]:
There is not a thousand people out there that want what Greg Todd has right now. It's probably about 100,000 people out there, maybe 500,000, maybe even closer to a million of people that are out there right now. That the offer that I have right now, I wouldn't even have to convince them if they knew it existed. They would take me up on it right now. They would take me up on it right now. And I believe the same is for you as well. But here's the reality for me and the reality for you. Most people don't even know you exist.
Greg Todd [00:07:25]:
They don't know how to find you because you have not made yourself findable. So the question is, why haven't you made yourself findable? Well, let me ask you this. Are those four platforms that I just said. Are you on any of those platforms? Okay, great. You're on the platform. All right. Are you consuming more than contributing on those platforms? Come on, let's really answer these questions. What are you doing on those platforms? Are you just listening to me on podcasts, or are you doing podcasts? Are you just listening to me on Facebook or going on Facebook to see what people are saying when they're arguing about Harris and Trump? Or are you actually putting out value on Facebook? Are you using Facebook to be able to build your network, or are you using Facebook to get warped into the vortex of what everybody else is discussing and talking about? Are you looking at Facebook to see who is divorcing? Who is this? Who's that? Like, what are you doing? What are you using Instagram for? Using Instagram to see what's going on with Brad and what's her name? You know? No, it's not Brad.
Greg Todd [00:08:28]:
What's his name? Ben Affleck and J. Lo. Like, see, I don't even, like. I just hear these things, guys. Like, like, what are you freaking doing? Like, what are you doing? Are you using this stuff to contribute? Are you using it consume? Is it playing you or you playing it? So, are you even putting yourself in a position where people can find you? Every single one of these platforms, you could do stuff that's making a yourself more findable.
Greg Todd [00:09:18]:
But if you're not doing it, you're not even giving yourself the opportunity for people to find you. So here's my question to you. Are you even talking to people? Are you talking to them enough? Or are you just downright saying, I'm not even going to speak? The hell with that. I didn't do none of that. Like, what are you doing? Okay, I think that's the first reason why you're not making the money that you want to make. You're not even giving yourself the opportunity to use the resources that we have to get you in front of people that already want what you have. This is not about making your offer any better. This is about just what you have right now.
Greg Todd [00:09:49]:
Like, they would buy it if they knew you existed. And most people don't know you exist. That's why I've told you guys in prior episodes, 75% of your time should be just focusing on getting in front of people that if they knew you existed, they would buy your stuff. Okay. For my birthday. I mean. And I'm like, if I'm gonna take this business seriously, I know that I have to spend 75% of my time doing that. So my birthday is September 20.
Greg Todd [00:10:16]:
Okay. And there was an opportunity where I got paid a decent amount of money. It wasn't like, like my regular consulting rate, but it was pretty close, right, to basically go talk to people that I know when I talk to them, probably gonna be a couple hundred people. Like, they're. They're pretty much like, okay, I would buy your stuff. Like, I need this. Like, I needed that yesterday. I needed that, like, three years ago.
Greg Todd [00:10:40]:
But since you're here today, that's my second best option. Okay, I'm gonna buy yourself. So you're gonna pay me for people to buy myself? Yeah. Okay, I'm going. Okay. It's okay. Like, I could celebrate. Basically every day is like a birthday, you know, for me.
Greg Todd [00:10:52]:
I could celebrate the actual day on another day. Or I can. Yeah. I'll go to topgolf that night. Okay. Like, guys, that's what I need you to do. So where are your people? Are you even making yourself findable? Okay. All right.
Greg Todd [00:11:05]:
That's number one. Number two is, do you have a. Do you have a findable, friendly offer? Do you have that? Okay. Now I want to kind of explain this to you, because I think most of you, you don't. You don't have a findable, friendly offer right? Now, the majority of you, if you have done things in a traditional way, whether you're an occupational therapist, a PT, or Cairo, an OT. What did I say? Like, net, okay. If you're any of those people, chances are you don't have a findable friendly offer, and that's actually screwing you over as well. Okay? So I'm gonna give you a couple examples at renewal rehab, and ironically, my business partner was just here, and we were going over some different things that he can do at renewal rehab to try to optimize the clinics.
Greg Todd [00:11:52]:
But when I started with renewal rehabilitive, I wasn't findable either. And I was struggling, okay? I was struggling. When we opened up our second location, it was. It was bad, okay? But I put so much money in it, I, like, had to keep on going, just, you know, figure it out the way that I was findable back then was through markets and going to gyms and going to physician offices. Because my offer was for people to come to 2008 Ashley Oaks circle at that time and for people to get evaluated by Greg Todd. Because my only offering was an evaluation and subsequent treatments. The only way for me to be able to collect money from you and give you value is if you came to that clinic location or you came to the 613 South Magnolia location. Like, that was the only way back then.
Greg Todd [00:12:43]:
So I didn't really have a findable, friendly offer. I had an offer that if people in Wesley Chapel found me, it could potentially work out for them if they needed rehabilitative services. Okay? But today, I have offerings to where anyone could buy my offer. I have people in India that have bought my offer. I have people in Australia that bought my offer. I have people in South America that I bought my offer. I have lots of clients now in Canada. I have clients in England.
Greg Todd [00:13:11]:
I have clients. I actually have clients in Africa. I have clients all over the globe. Because I have a findable, friendly offer. I have an offer that if you needed something and you need help with this particular thing, you could purchase it even if you don't live in Tampa, you could purchase it even if you don't live in the United States. You could purchase it even if you don't live in the western hemisphere. It's a findable, friendly offer. But most of you don't have that.
Greg Todd [00:13:39]:
So those numbers, I said in the beginning of the episode, they don't apply to you. 7 billion doesn't apply to you. If your area that you live in is 30,000, that applies to you, by the way. You could still do well with 30,000. I don't know how big your area is, what percentage of people would actually need what it is that you're offering today. The numbers might work for you, they might not. But here's what I want you to take away from this episode. Number one is you have to make yourself findable to people that already want what you have.
Greg Todd [00:14:09]:
It is. It is. Look, you're gonna spend your energy and your effort doing this stuff anyways. I personally think it's in your best interest to not turn non believers into believers. I think it's in your best interest to turn believers into people that can actually have the thing that they want done. They already believe they already want it. Just find those people. It's so much easier.
Greg Todd [00:14:34]:
Okay. It's. Honestly, it's the same amount of work for ten times the results. So just do that. Just focus on marketing. Focus on getting yourself in front of the people that already want you have. And make sure that when you get in front of those people, you actually have something that you can offer them and they can, they can take you up on it. If you don't have that, then you're screwing yourself.
Greg Todd [00:14:54]:
And guys, I really believe those are the two reasons why most of you are not making what you want to make, because you haven't even given yourself the opportunity for it to work in your favor. So anyways, I hope that helps. Again, I don't have a link for you at this moment right now, but we are going to be doing a five day challenge September 30 to October 4. Just pencil it down in your calendar. Okay. Just put it out. You're going to be doing it. It's probably going to be 07:00 p.m.
Greg Todd [00:15:19]:
or 08:00 p.m. eastern. By the way, if you guys have taught me this, I usually do the challenges at 07:00 p.m. if I started them at 08:00 p.m. would that be better for you? Could you let me know by just texting me at 813-534-6453 text me 07:00 p.m. or 08:00 p.m. for the upcoming challenge September 30 to October 4. It will help me decide what times I should use for them.
Greg Todd [00:15:43]:
Alright, anyways, love you guys. Till next time.
